What is Centella Asiatica ?

Centella Asiatica is a plant that grows in tropical and subtropical regions (India, Madagascar, China, and Indonesia). Part of the Indian pharmacopoeia, it has been used in Ayurveda medicine for more than 3,000 years. In particular, it is recognized as having beneficial effects on the treatment of various skin conditions and on the stimulation of micro-circulation.

Centella Asiatica is also called “tiger grass” after an ancient Laotian legend relating about a young farmer well known for his spectacular recovery on wounds and serious diseases.

Indeed, by observing the tigers rolling in grass to heal their wounds, the farmer has discovered the healing properties of Centella Asiatica. He could afterwards impress the chief from the village who accepted to give him his most precious treasure, his daughter.

Centella Asiatica has been used since then in medicine and in Ayurveda therapies. It has proved through R&D that it contains extraordinary resources in terms of stimulation of collagen synthesis but also in the stimulation of micro-circulation (validation tests).
